25th – 30th September at Le Golf National, Paris, France. Le Moulin de la Tuilerie is just 10km from the Le Golf National and can provide a fantastic base if you are planning to attend the competition.
The competition itself is a historic event which has run every two years since 1927 except during the war years. Originally it was held in Massachusetts between Great Britain and the United States, but the dominance of the event by the Americans meant that the British side was expanded to include Ireland and eventually continental Europe in 1979.
Since 1979 Europe has won the cup outright ten times, and there has been one tied match. The current holders are the United States who won on home territory in 2016.
The tournament is unique in the world of professional sport as the players receive no prize money.
