This is the eleventh exhibition of Contemporary Arts at the Palace of Versailes. It’s a very short trip from Le Moulin de la Tuilerie to the Palace of Versailles, and this exhibition is a very special chance to see the work of the famous Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugimoto, as he invests the gardens of the estate of Tiranon, providing a variety of art, architecture and performance.

Sugimoto’s installations wil boe placed in six spaces throughout the Estate of Trianon and will be a reflection of the history of the Palace of Versailles and it’s distinguished residents, including Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette.

Hiroshi Sugimoto was born in Tokyo in 1948. His art is multi disciplinary, using photography, architecture, sculpture and installation, and takes a unique perspective of Eastern and Western cultures and ideologies by examining the origins of consciousness, perception and the nature of time.
