PLACES TO VISIT GUIDE

Paris

Le Moulin is situated a 10 minute walk from the station at Gif-Sur-Yvette, which is on the RER network and links directly to Paris with trains every 15 minutes meaning you can be in central Paris in 40 minutes door to door.   Enabling the guest to take full advantage of all that Paris has to offer, be it the sights and galleries or the restaurants and bars.

Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is famous the world over not least for its chequered history as firstly the seat of the now abandoned monarchy of France (see French Revoultion) and also the place where the Treaty of Versaille, the treaty to end the First World War was signed.

Le Moulin de la Tuilerie and it’s luxurious self catering accommodation is close to Versailles, but is also well placed to visit a variety of interesting local Chateaux. Obviously Versailles takes the crown as the most splendid, but there are a variety of smaller and equally as interesting chateaux locally – you can find details further on in this guide. We hope it will help you plan your visit to Essonne and the region around Gif-sur-Yvette.
